It’s Halloween on this part of the globe. But on the other side of the world, it will not be until twelve noon tomorrow. Somehow the twelve hour difference makes it more exciting. Everyone is getting the thrill of getting scared or scaring others with their costumes. Since Monday, scary movies are shown and even the news features scary stories. Modern day ghosts stories were told at school and even inside our offices. And right now, even if my mind is set to buy gold bars, I can’t help but watch this story about ghosts in Marilao, Bulacan.
Some of the news features are also practical like choosing funeral homes and their services, choosing memorial plans and choosing caskets. While others may opt to choose resting places and cemeteries, others are reviewing options such that of cremation.
This afternoon, my colleagues and I talked about our dead loved ones and how they died, as well as how they left on their last hour on earth. Then our conversation moved to urban legends and everything scary, hahaha. That was how we spent the last hour while waiting for time out and log-out.
The kids are not here at the apartment, so it’s just me and my sister. Before we leave tomorrow, we have to finish all laundry tonight, that we shall leave behind for our long weekend. It’s 11:45 near midnight and the dogs in our neighborhood are howling already.
So.. tatah.. gotta hang our laundry before bats come flying.. hehehe
