It’s nice to go touring around the Philippines during the Christmas season, mainly because, most places have a wide array of decor made from indigenous materials that turn out to be really fantastic. There are even lighted decorations that are actually made from waste materials such as bottle caps, news papers, plastic bottles, cans and all others. In the far flung baranagays, they actually make it as a contest per purok, that decorations come not only displayed in houses and buildings, but also on the streets. Preparations start even before the month of September starts. When it comes to prizes, usually, big companies sponsor the prizes so that it becomes easy for every barangay to have a really fun, colorful Christmas.
In big cities, the decor come in a different presentation, where technology and electronics are involved. Oh well, it is almost Christmas, and I look forward to what I will see.
