In Germany, Octoberfest happens for 16 days, as it is a 16-day festival. It is held annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, from late September to the first weekend in October. So far, it is one of the most famous events in Germany, and the world’s largest fair. More than 5 million people attend this event every year. The event is an important part of Bavarian culture, and has started since 1810. Other cities across the world also hold Oktoberfest celebrations, modeled after the Munich event, but somehow with twists and other fares on the menu. Like in the Philippines, Octoberfest is synonymous to a battle of the band with beer flowing. And happens in the entire month of October. My friend jack bought his alesis master control during the first Octoberfest in PH as he and his band joined and had been joining the battle of the bands ever since.
Anyway, I am sure it will be great to see and experience Octoberfest right at the heart of Bavaria. Will check this out someday..
