Travels Here and There

This is the Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Orlando Florida. Of course, the tree is not real, it is artificial and it has the species of animals from Africa carved on a special material. It is a piece of art, even the leaves are artificial.

But looking at it in a photo, one may think that it is a natural phenomenon. If it were for real, I am sure it will be heavily protected, and in one way or another, commercialized for viewing purposes. It’s a good thing it’s just man-made, crafted from a childhood fantasy. I guess that is the reason why young and old would love to go and visit Disney… Because somewhere in the heart of every man, is a child..
